December 1 is World AIDS Day, a tradition started in 1988 to increase awareness of HIV and AIDS. The stats on AIDS are still very scary: According to UNAIDS, 33.4 million people are living with HIV worldwide, and 2.7 million new cases were diagnosed in 2008. But there is hope too.
